Question about using banked points

Hi all. I just booked a BLT for Sat through Thurs in June. Had to book a sat nt first, as well as the monday, and waitlisted the Sunday, Tues and Wed. The waitlists all came through so I now have the Sun through Thurs. However, I have been rethinking the Sat night and might drop it off of our ressie since it is so many points. here is where my dilemma comes in. For this vacation, I am using 10 points that were banked from the previous year. The Sat night was the first one booked so I am guessing they applied the banked points towards that initial booking. If I cancel just Sat, will my banked points be applied then to the oth4er days or will they go back into the pool of unused points? I obviously would prefer to use those banked points first. You can ask them to allocate the banked points to be used for the reservation and any "dropped" points to be taken from current points so you can use or bank them later.

I asked this same question to member services a while back. The lady told me that they always use the banked points first. I would, however, call to make sure they do this...just in case...

Our experience has always been that they use the banked points first, but as the previous poster noted, it doesn't hurt to double check with Disney reservations! Have fun on your trip!

I have had them to drop the banked points when cancelling a reservation. I just had to call back and have it fixed, but it doesn't always work out that the CM will use your banked points first!
