Question about UPH's

We have rented points for a trip to BWV 9/26-10/3 and are wondering... I understand that Ultimate Park Hoppers can be purchased in advance at a small discount by anyone staying at a Disney Resort. I also understand, from what I've read here on the board that DVC members and their renting guests can get a discount on UPH's.

My question is this, if the latter is true, must these be purchased inadvance to get the member discount, or should we go ahead and call the BW and purchase them at the regular discount??

Also, how can I find out how much the discount is??

Actually, the discount is for DVC members and their guests only...and technically not for renters. However, many on this board have posted that renters often are able to obtain the DVC perk when staying there.

You cannot buy the UPH pass with the DVC 10% discount until you check in at the resort.

Thanks Granny... That seems to be the concensus here on the boards. I wouldn't presume to deserve such perks, because frankly we're happy just to get to stay at BWV for such a reasonable price. Of course, we helped a Dis member out who was not going to be able to use his points. But it would really help to get the discount on passes. More mone to spend on other Disney items, and who knows, maybe eventually a membership! We'll keep our fingers crossed!

One more thing... will the CM ask us when we check in if we want passes, or should we go to guest services later and ask them??

As far as I know, no one staying on points has ever been refused the 10% discount.
