We have a package deal through AAA with 4-day tickets. I inquired about upgrading to 6-day tickets and after being on hold forever, they said they had to cancel my reservation and redo the entire thing. I dont' know why it's so hard... but I was thinking in case plans changed and we don't do two water parks and revisit parks we may not need the 6-day. So I figured we could go there and upgrade at Guest Services? This is possible right? Also, the cost difference should be the same... I looked on Disney's website and the difference would be total $4.26. When I get to Guest Services there would they have the same difference or is it a different price? I noticed that if you buy 5 day or above it says online you save money by doing it in advance so I wasn't sure if I get up there will the price be higher and I pay more of a cost difference.

You can upgrade your AAA tickets once you arrive at the park. YOu will pay the difference between the gate price and the price of your new upgraded ticket. You won't loose your discount.
Hope that helps!:)

But the gate price is higher? Right now I would only pay $4.26 difference. I was quoted the 6-day with plus is $247.10 and I think it's higher at the gate. Would I have to pay the gate price difference or can I still get it for the $4.26?

I have upgraded Park Hoppers to APs. I paid the difference between what I paid for the ticket (any discount was included, they can see what you paid) and the gate price. I have a feeling that is what you will have to pay.

I was told this. For upgrading an unused MYW pass (or used pas within 13 days of first use) take the gate price of the ticket you have and the gate price of the ticket you want. You pay the difference at the resort Guest Services or the park Guest RElations.\ For a 4 day to 6 day upgrade the difference is about $12. I am told that this formula is also used for unused (pre-2005) hopper to MYW trades.

This works to your advantage compared with the actual, likely discounted, price paid for what you have versus the gate price of what you want.

You may have noticed the advance purchase price of the ticket you have and the advance purchase price of the ticket you want. The difference (delta) here may or may not be identical but you don't get to use this.

For trading to an annual pass the formula may be different.
