question about unpacking van at VWL?

This may be a silly question, but is there any way to unpack our van at VWL without using the bellhop? Carts, etc, or do we just do the pack mule thing and make a million trips?

Pack mule thing. They won't let you "borrow" carts. We have tried.

Yup, pack mule thing with a thousand trips, sadly.

Although once I saw a DVCer grab one of those carts and use it! I said 'you go man!', but I don't have the guts to do that.

LOL - I have a rolling book cart that holds about 75 lbs, plus 3 able-bodied children, so we should be unpacked in no time

Shoot, I just open the back end of the van, let them load it all up, follow them up to the room and hand them a $20.

The carts are for "Bell Services Use Only". There is a tag on each cart that reminds you. We were told that they don't loan carts due to insurance reasons. At BCV the Valets unload your car and put your stuff on a cart. They call Bell Services who delivers to your room. Tip for valet and tip for Bell Person. A lot of Disney processes are designed for the maximum tip. At SSR, Bell Services will pick up your luggage from your room, (pay tip), then they check your bags while you wait for ME. When ME arrives, the move your bags from the check room to the bus. (Pay tip).

That's why we don't bring the car up to unload until we know the room is ready. We'll just leave it parked with our stuff until we get told the room is available to move in.
