Question about tubes in ears

After the surgery, you have to use ear plugs when they get wet, right? How about swimming?

It all depends on the Dr. I used them for apprix the first 6 months. I havent since. I even had custom ones made for my dd but that was a waste. If their ear grows they dont fit right.

Best thing I ever did with my daughter. She was 5 at the time, and had 50% loss in both ears due to many ear infections. I was told that if I waited the damage could be permanent.

It was a local procedure, hard on me that is for sure, her not so much. She went to school that afternoon (her choice) and was great.

She used to have at least one infection a month, and then just continuous back to back infections.

She has regained her hearing, and had very few ear infections after this. She is now 9 and doing well.
