Hopefully someone has some advice for me:goodvibes

Coming to Orlando August 15-25. (Peak hurricane season)
Staying at RPH August 15-20
Staying at Pop Century August 20-25

I purchased a free dining package at WDW for Aug. 20-25, with travel insurance.

What can I do about the 5 nights at RPH? Do Universal hotels have their own version of trip insurance? I have a room only reservation.

Any input would be greatly appreciated:worship:

Trip insurance is usually for packages, you can cancel you room 6 days prior to arrival at the Lowes without a cancellation fee, if you cancel after that you get charged for one night. So depending on your party size it might be less expensive to not have the insurance and pay the fee.

I do know that in case of an emergency they sometimes will waive that. Last year my mom had to leave 2 nights early because of an emergency at the resturant/bar she owns and they said they would not charge her for the nights she did not stay, even though it was 6pm when she ran out. I didn't even ask, thought that was pretty nice of them.

I don't usually get trip insurance for domestic land based vacations, but you can check different policies here: ww.insuremytrip.com and then choose the one that suits you best. Make sure of the all the coverages and what triggers coverage. It is usually cheaper than Disney, cruise line, insert name here, for better coverages. We have had good luck with Travelex and the Lite version in the past and I have that for my upcoming cruise in February.
