Question about tomorrows arrival

Tomorrow we land at LGB airport at 11:00am. We will rent a car, go to the supermarket and maybe eat before we get to the GCH. My questions are:

When we arrive at the hotel, should we drop off our luggage and groceries and self park or should we just use valet for the first day? How much is valet?

If our room is not ready, will the hotel store our groceries in their fridge until we can check in? Will they be annoyed if we have beer and wine with us ? Are rooms usually ready earlier than specified check in time?

When we leave the parks and go to our room for a midday break, do we have to get our hands stamped?

The only answer I can give is yes, you must get your hand stanmped when leaving for a break. I have also heard to get your hand stamped even if you are leaving to park hop and do not intend to reenter because the other park could not allow you in since your hopper had been used and your hand had not been stamped.

here is my best guess on your other questions...

There should be a load/unload area of the hotel. Pull around and bell service will be out to help you with your bags. Self park. Check in.

I doubt the hotel will store your food in a fridge, but it would not hurt to ask.

They will not have any problem with you having beer and wine, assuming someone in your party is over 21.

Early check in- well that is just a gamble at all hotels.

Hey! We'll be at the Grand tomorrow too, but we won't arrive until 4pm-ish. We fly out of Seattle at 11:15am.

Valet parking is $15 a day, with no limit to how many times a day you use it.

We've done early check in with no problem. I'm not sure about storing refrigerated foods, but everything else should be fine.

You'll need to get your hand stamped...no biggie.

You can check in early but your room may not be available. I know that sounds like a contridiction. But many folks want get their tickets at checkin. You have your room key to start room charges (convenient ) and swim if they want.
I have only had groceries delivered and they did refrigerate that. They have stored our things in the past as we check out early on the last day but fly out late.
This is a big hotel- very spread out. I would have DH leave me, DD and everything at the front with a cart while he parked self park. Valet would just save him a few extra steps but DH likes to know what do expect as far as where the car is. You may find that once you are parked, you may not leave for a few days. If that's the case, you're in valet parking $ for a while.
They do stamp your hand anytime you leave the park, even to park hop. It is a clow in the dark stamp. It is hard to wash off. We think it's funny on our last day to ride PP and see all the different stamps glow in the dark!
