Question about Tolls

We plan to rent a car at MCO. I remember at least one toll upon exiting MCO last time and it was cash. The car rental information indicates some tolls are now electronic only and if we sign up for plate pass it will cover our tolls. We would prefer to pay cash for the tolls at the toll booths if they are still cash booths. Does anyone know if they are still cash? Thanks.

If you are driving from MCO to Disney you can pay cash along the 417 toll road. I recommend taking a roll of quarters because depending on which Disney exit you get off at one of them is an exact change only exit.

You won't encounter any unmanned toll booths between MCO and WDW. If you are taking the south airport exit and 417 to WDW, be sure to get off just after exit 6 otherwise you will encounter an unmanned toll if you proceed to exit 3. If you take the north airport exit and 528/I-4 to WDW the tolls are manned. Watch carefully as you drive either of these routes as the manned toll booths are off to the right in what might look like an exit ramp.

Also, on 417, there will be two $1.50 tolls between the airport and the the World Center Drive exit. Cash tolls can be paid into a drive through basket using coins or to the attendant at the toll booth at the far right of the toll plaza.

Thanks for the info everyone. I just went to Mapquest to look at the directions since we will be heading to the Disney outlet up on International Drive before going to CBR. It looks as though we will take exit 1B to 528 to go to the outlet so now I know that the tolls on 528 are manned. (Thanks, OKW Lover!)
