Question about toiletries on DCL

Just curious about the shampoo, soap, conditioner etc.. supplied by DCL. Are the items the same as those in the WDW hotels or different? Sometimes we bring our own shampoo to use while on vacation and bring home the bottles with Mickey Mouse on it from the hotel so we can use them later as a reminder of the trip! (sounds silly I know) but we love anything Disney and it helps to have a little something to remind you of your last trip until time for the next Disney vacation!
Thanks!

They no longer carry the Mickey shampoos and toiletries at WDW or on the cruise. Both places now use H2O products. The line on the ship are a bit different than the ones used at WDW. At WDW you receive the Aquatics line of H2O and on the cruise you get the Spa line. The WDW toiletries do have a little hidden Mickey in the bubbles on the front of the bottle. But that is all the Mickey’s you will see now on the toiletries.

The cruise gives H2O products. A shampoo and conditioner, body butter and Bar of facial soap and body soap. The sizes are much bigger than the what you get at WDW. The products are very nice. My brother loves the shampoo and I am crazy about the body butter. When I came home I went to H2O to buy the body butter. I love it and it reminds me of the cruise. The bottles don't look very disney, but they have a small cruise mickey on the bottle that reads disney cruise line. These are the products that come in a standard room. I think the suites might have other products.

The cruise toiletries also have Mickey on them and they say Disney Cruise Line. Also on the cruise you get the larger tubes of product, rather then the small bottles. I believe that at WDW they are 1oz. while the DCL versions are nearly 3oz.

Personally, I love the scent of the WDW version but don't care for the DCL scent.

We just got back from the May 3-10th Magic cruise and then spent three nights at Caribbean Beach Resort. We had the H2O spa shampoo and a separate H20 Conditioner and then the body butter and bar soap while on the cruise. At the CBR we had a small blue bottle with a Mickey head that was a shampoo and conditioner combo. Didn't care for the second one at all and used our leftover stuff from the cruise after the first day.

Hmmm...I wonder if this is a recent change. We've always gotten separate bottles of shampoo and conditioner at the WDW resorts (both blue). Have they now gone to a combo product?

That would have been a quick change. Our trip to SSR from April 15th to the 23rd had separate shampoo and conditioner.

Ours was a combo product. We were at the Caribbean Beach Resort from May 10th-13th. I hate combos of shampoo/conditioner. They never seem to work in my hair. :confused3 I don't know if all of the resorts have gone to this, but that's definitely what we had. Blue bottle with a black lid and a black and white mickey face on the front. I was glad I had brought the extra from the ship!

That is definitely different than what we have had. Ours were clear bottles, about 4" long, completely cylindrical...no black tops. They had the H2O logo plus the Mickey ears and some bubbles.

I hate combo products too and hope this isn't a property-wide change...although I'm guessing it will be.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The blue combo bottles are what we received our previous trips this year to WDW. I am looking forward to trying the H2O products on the cruise.

Does anyone know if you run out will they replenish it? We are a family of 5 so we go thrugh a lot, and I can't remember if they will bring you more or not.

They will happily bring you as much as you need. Just ask your stateroom host/hostess!

I believe the H20+ products are only supplied in the Deluxe and DVC resorts - Values and Moderates still have a combo Shampoo+Conditioner, and round bar soaps with Mickey stamped on them.

Ahhhhh...thank you! We are DVC members so that explains it!

The blue combo bottles are still H2O products -- it says that on the back in small type. ;) Is Caribbean Beach a "moderate?"

The tubes are large but my DD's long think hair went through a tube of conditioner daily and the room steward made sure we had plenty each day. The body butter is amazing!

I have some upstairs but hadn't looked that close. The deluxes and moderates have the H2O+ Aquatics line, with separate shampoo and conditioner, and square facial and bath soaps.

Caribbean Beach is a moderate - the oldest actually! Other moderates are Coronodo Springs and Port Orleans (Riverside and French Quarter). Pop Century and the 3 All Stars are the Values.

I wonder what toiletries are in the Fort Wilderness Cabins. Do any come with the campsites? ;)
