I was reading some where that you can buy pins that light up when others are close by, where do you get these and how much are they?
thanks again hazel
i did not see these on my last trip(last week). but if they are available they will be at any of the pin stations or kiosks through out the park. good luck!
Well, well, well. A pin addict in the making.
I am sure they still have these.
If you plan to go to any of the Disney outlets, check there also. For awhile they were selling the older ones for $4 each I think.
I haven't paid much attention to them, as I have several already. Also ask on the Collector's Board. Someone will know.
Are talking about the 100 Year's of Magic Pin's,they would would light up and twinkle in different patterns by getting a electronic signal at different locations in park. You could also touch them and they would light up.Each park had it's own pin.I don't remember seeing them for sale on my last trip.I had mine on and saw a few others wearing them.
They still had them available in all the parks when I was there September of last year. They had them at the pin locations and also noticed them in stores on main street. Think they were higher than normal pins though - seems like $10-$15. They light up at certain locations. They appeared kind of big and bulky to me, but looked pretty neat.
During the 100 years celebration WDW resort came out with 5 light up pins. One for each park and one for the resort with the offical logo. They would lite up during parades, rides and shows. And most times just tapping on them. They were $15.00 each, and they sold them at the main pin station in each park. Example: You could pick one up inside MGM at the big hat, that is the parks big pin station. Below are links that should take you to pinpics.com, for more info. The pins are now retired, but on my last trip in Feb, I did come across some at some at the Disney outlet stores in the are for about $5.00 each.
Now in 2003, they came out with a new set. Called Magical Moments. The links below should take you to pinpics.com for more info. They work the same way as the earlier bunch did, and sold also for $15.00 and could be picked up at the large pin stations in each park. I think you can still get some of them at the parks, but I think the one with 2003 has been retired.
ok thanks for all your help guys, I may just be a pin trader addict in the making LOL
as if I need another hobby to add to stampin, scrapbooking, cross stitching, fishing, etc LOL
