I buy four boxes every trip to WDW. I am addicted and I have all of my grandchildren addicted. So I buy a box for my house and a box for each of the the three houses for my grandchildren. I am going to DL in June and I can't wait to buy more. My last trip I didn't get enough Mary poppins items or the Mickey hands. I am so excited.I would really like to get a box of pieces for my son when we're in DL in June. He loves his Mr. Potato Head. About how many pieces can you fit in a box? What's the price for the box of pieces?
Well I got the giant potato head! If you are planning on buying more than 1 box that would be a better way to go as i think you can fit a lot more than 2 boxes worth in there. I got all the pieces for buzz, pirate, Incredibles, peter pan, tinkerbell, Ariel, Donald Duck, goofy pieces and several of the arms, eyes, and little accessories too.
So if we have the potato head already, we can fill the box with just the parts for $18? For some reason I thought it said somewhere (this was like 3 years ago) that you had to buy the potato. But I may be mistaken.
We've done the potato and parts a few years ago. Looks like theres a whole bunch of new stuff since we've done it! Now I'm excited to get more, and since we already have a potato I'd love to just fill a box with parts!
Yes, you can buy only parts. You absolutely do not need to buy the potato itself. I have bought at least a dozen boxes (for friends and gifts too!) and have never yet bought a single potato. Enjoy!!
Yes you are right. Feel the box as tight as you can. Don't leave any holes in it. For example there is a little suitcase for the potato heads, open that up and you can fit a name badge in it. Disney wants you to get as much as possible. enjoyThis is my very first post . . .
I like the potato head for my 5yo ds. I just want to make sure I get this right. So I can buy a Mr. Potato Head at a regular store and then when I go to Disney I just need to make sure that I get the arms with the holes and any accessories I want and can fit in the $18 box?
This will be my first trip to DLR (going in Sept). I've been to WDW about 4 times in my childhood and in 2000 with my DH. I went to Tokyo Disneyland more times that I can remember for 3 years from 2002-2005. I'm anxious to see the similarities and differences with DLR.
