Question about the Hyatt

We are cruising on the August 12 Wonder getting back to Port Canaveral on August 15. We don't have a flight out until 7:00 p.m. I've been seeing alot about people getting a day room at the Hyatt. My question is this, should be call ahead for a reservation or is it something you can get that day? Also, is it within walking distance of the airport or would we need to have other transportation? We have 7 people in our party so I need to know that.

The Hyatt is IN the airport above the security check in areas in Terminal B.....so yes, VERY much within walking distance!

Booking this room ahead of time is a really good idea since I was told they limit the # they let go as day rooms! We got ours for $75.00 for the day and it was worth every single penny!!! We had our limo driver drop us off at the bell desk and they held our luggage for us until about 2 when we decided to go check in for our 5 pm flight! The hotel lobby is inside the airport overlooking the Disney Store (bad people bad..tempting me like that again! ) We checked in and went up to our room where the kids changed into their swimsuits and we went for a swim. Then to the restaurant for a leisurely meal and then more swimming! Then a little relaxing on the bed and balcony and then off for the flight! It is SO convenient and we had a room overlooking the runway...really fun to watch!

DB and I are cruising on the 3-day Wonder on 9/9 - we don't fly out Sunday until 6:30pm so I just called and got the day room for $75! I think it's well worth it - who wants to hang out in the airport?

I wouldn't book this through priceline - I would call the Hyatt directly - priceline will have check-in restrictions and you probably won't be able to even get into the room until like 3 in the afternoon - Hyatt told me we could get into the room at 10am and keep it until 6!

Has anyone used Hyatt Gold Passport points to book? Was it easy to get the reservation? Any idea of the cancellation policy?

Thanks for all the help. Now I have to wait for tomorrow to call. My TA left a message today that my flights have been cancelled and she had put us on different flights so I don't know what time our new flights home are. But it definitely sounds better than hanging out in the airport.

After spending all night Sunday night in an airport I agree! I hope she got you on a much earlier flight!
