Question about the Disney Visa (was sent a $200 offer)

The only thing I can think of is that they sent it to me because we also own a DVC contract.

Chase is always sending me pre-approved offers though. I seem to get the Chase AARP one the most. Yeah I have a 10 yr old and I'm in AARP. LOL

I constantly get AARP stuff and I don't qualify for another 8-10 years! Same goes for retirement communities, hearing aid stuff, etc... No clue how I got on one of their lists...

We never get the offers though. Never get PINs either. But I'm a charter cardmember... DSis is trying to get one but would only do it if she gets the $200 offer.

Does anyone know if you need to get the mailer to qualify or can anyone (provided they have the credit) can qualify for this offer? If so, what's the number and/or offer code you need to call?

TIA.

I just applied for a Disney Visa - and I'm excited about it.
But I was hoping you guys could answer a couple questions for me about it.

So there is a "gift" card that you get to transfer your reward points to?
Do you get that at the time you get your Visa Card?
Or do you get it when you get your first reward?
If its the second answer.... How long does it take to get that card in once "ordered"
Also -
If I am at Disney World and I make purchases while there - can I call and have those points transfered to my "gift" card while still in The World?

Don't know if you ever found out...

You end up transferring the reward dollars you've earned onto a card. You can order that to be mailed to you, or you can wait to get to WDW or DLR and get a card there, then call a number to have it transferred immediately.

The reward dollars show up on your statement, well, at least that's how it works with the debit card...they don't appear immediately.

Thanks! Have you received any of the Disney dollars yet?

It's not Disney Dollars, but rather Disney Reward Dollars. You transfer them to a card, and the card then expires quicker than they expire when left in your account.

My DH got this offer (the $200 Disney Reward Dollars) in the mail about a week ago. I know people have asked if we can think of anything we've done to have it sent to us. I know about a month ago I was looking at the MVMCP prices on Disney's website and clicked on the ad for the $40 promo but never actually went through with it. But then again, our trip is booked in my name and my Disney account is completely in my name as well.

Like I said though, DH was the one whose name was on the offer. The only connection I can think of is that he already has a card with Chase (that he's had almost 10 years). Otherwise, all of the Disney planning and such is done under my name.

I know that may not help anyone. Just giving my feedback. I don't think it has to do with going on the site and plugging in information...but I could be wrong.

I signed up for the Disney Rewards without the $200 offer and only recieved $15 reward dollars. I emailed CHASE about the $200 and told them i was not happy about the lack of reward dollars when i signed up and they credited my account with the other $185 reward dollars. Yea that will almost pay for my Disneyland ticket next year.

I signed up in the spring and have been using the card regularly all summer. No, I didn't do anything to trigger the offer, best I can tell.

Now... my question. In what denominations do you have to transfer points ? Our trip isn't until January and so that gives me the better part of the Fall and Christmas shopping season to tack a few more on before marathon weekend !

Applied and got it last month and made some purchases two weeks ago in hopes of being able to get the $200 before our trip Sat. Just read the book and checked on line and found out that the $200 posted already and we can get a redemption card at the park. An extra $200 to spend next week:thumbsup2

I just got the $200 offer in the mail today, applied, and was instantly approved:cool1:

Here are things we have done recently:
applied and got a Disney Visa debit card
started saving trip options on Disney.com
ordered the Disney vacation video
I guess all of those things got us on the radar for a card offer?

I am so excited since we have he $200, a $25 card for opening the debit card, I am on my way to earning a Yak n Yeti gift card from My Points, and have already earned $7 in 3 days on Sunshine Rewards! Hopefully I will have lots of money saved for our May/June trip!
