Question about the candle light proceconal dinner package

I'm planning on going at the beginning of December for the first time next year and I'm wondering if i should make a reservation at 180 days and then add the candle light package to it when it comes out or wait until it comes out to make the reservation.

You won’t be able to add the package. It’s a separate reservation.

To reserve your Candlelight Processional Dining Package using Disney Dining Plan and Disney Deluxe Dining Plan entitlements, please call (407) WDW-FEST or (407) 939-3378.

above is correct. You can't add Candlelight to a regular reservation. It's a different type of reservation and you'd have to cancel yours and make a new reservation including the package.

The policies for the CP package have changed to require prepayment, so you might be better off calling to book if you plan to pay with DDP.
