Question about Test Track!

I know that GM employees can get into a lounge before the ride if they have their badge but does anybody know if that same privilege is also for contractors working at GM?

I believe it is for anyone who has a GM employee identification. If a contractor working has a GM ID, then I would say yes. If not, I would say no.

You need your GMTKS badge or an insurance card saying you are a GM employee to use the lounge. I am not sure about the contract workers but I would say it's worth a try. When the lounge is closed you can also use your badge to by pass the line. Just use the gift shop doors and look for the desk near the ride exit.

There is a lounge in Test Track for all GM employess. It takes you to the front of the line. No waiting!!!

You know we keep seeing that GM is giving everyone there employee discount if they by a GM car... keep the discount.. I want to go the front of the line... then they will be treating us all like employees

We just got back and thanks to these boards, we too found out about the GM perk. My dh just used his business card and we went to the lounge, had some free pop, watched the test track ride from inside the a/c lounge, were given passes from the employee in the lounge and took the elevator down to the front of the line for test track. My ds rode with my dh while I waited with our little ones and then when he returned, my ds rode again with me. When we left, the line out front was over an hour long. It was awesome!!!!!!!
