Question about tax refund

should i be worried that ours was showing the 17th for the longest time, and when i just checked it it's now saying the 24th?!

has anyone had the date change and still get it on their original date?!

Ours was also changed to the 24th from the 17th...very frustrating!! I wonder why this is happening and I REALLY hope it doesn't change again!

I'm hoping its just a system error and it shows up by the 17th as originally planned!

yeah, we had that!
i'm really anxious to get our refund..it was showing the 17th through the weekend ( that's the last time I checked it).
I started reading things on here and saw some people got their dates changed so I checked ours out....I felt all panicky when I saw the date change.

This may help clear up the confusion.

I just checked this website and this is what I got:

We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Unless we find mistakes or you owe other taxes, you should receive your refund by February 24, 2009.

On the other refund schedule it says I should be receiving it on or before the 20th. Huh?!?!? Why the later change? We don't have homebuyers on ours.

I live in NC and I got my state refund direct deposited today. My federal is supposed to be here Friday I hope. I filed my taxes online on Jan 31.

I just got my state refund today (Oregon) too and filed on the 31st. Federal says the 17th, or at least it did last time I checked.

For Federal...When I filed it said the 13th. I checked a few days later and it said the 17th. It was in my account this morning. Usually state shows up first.

My federal has said by the 17th all along but this morning it says it will be deposited on Feb. 13!!!!

Yep. Apparently, I got bumped up 4 days by Federal, too. Now the IRS website says it will be in my account on Feb. 13!!!

me too, me too! It was 2-17, now it's 2-13. Yeah for Friday the 13th!
