question about taking Mears to MCO from Dolphin

I just called to reserve a return shuttle service from the Dolphin to MCO, and they offered me a choice of pickup times: one that was three hours before my flight (which they recommended) and one that was 2.5 hours before my flight. If my flight is on a late Monday afternoon (before rush hour), is there any reason not to do the one that leaves later (2.5 hours before my flight). I would rather have that extra half hour at a park that day! Does anyone find they are way early getting back to MCO from the Dolphin using Mears?

It's about 30 minutes from the Dolphin to MCO. You don't know how many stops Mears will schedule between the Dolphin and MCO. You don't know if the bus will be a few minutes late. You might wind up getting to the airport 1.5 hours before your flight, 2 hours is normally suggested.

A pickup 2.5 hours before your flight is fine if you're taking a car service. I'd probably go with the 3 hour pickup time.

If you use 7 Stars transporation at 407-209-4023 they will take you by the offairportcheckin facilty in lake buena vista and you can check in for your flight and checked your luggage for no extra charge for the stop and only have to be at the airport 45 minutes before your flight.

Luggage has to be checked at offairportcheckin at least 3 hours before your flight. Mears is suggesting a pickup time 3 hours before the OPs flight. 7 Star would have to pickup almost 3.5 hours before flight time in order to get to the checkin facility and complete checkin 3 hours before the flight.

Makes no sense.

Security lines can be rather long at MCO so I would stick with 3 hours.

I've used the Mears shuttle & there were always several other stops, so I'd stick with the 3 hours. Last month on Mears the travel time between Dolphin & MCO was 70 min. with the other stops. Also once at MCO - your airline might be the last to be dropped off - let's say there are 3 other families on your shuttle, all going to different airlines, some on the A side, some on the B side, that alone could take a long time to unload them & their luggage.
