How did it work out for you taking a baby under six months. We were planning on staying at the Poly in Sept when my son will be three months old. But we bought a new van and will have to stay somewhere else now. What type of stroller is best? Should I even consider going this early?

It will probably be the easiest trip you take with them for about 3 years!!!!

As long as you keep them protected from the sun and well hydrated they are very easy at this age. The don't want out off the stroller except to be held, which is easy at 3 months. they are easy to feed, can eat anywhere. are happy looking at the lights and movement, don't want souveniers, if you time things right will sleep thru a table service meal. nap anywhere, etc.......

Went on a big group trip with my whole family in January. That included 5 kids age five and under, including my three month old nephew. Let me assure you he was by far the easiest to deal with of the kids! He rode in a sling almost the entire time, nursed whenever and wherever he needed to, and did just great. I will say that being a breastfed baby made it easy. I think it would be more complicated if you had to deal with bottles, etc.

We went when my son was 3 months old. It was an easy trip...much easier than the trip we took last year when he was a toddler. He just slept most of the time and he did enjoy the rides when he was awake. It was a great trip!!

I agree - going when the baby is 2-3 months is A LOT easier than when they are 2-3 yrs old! Hehe. They still love to look around, but they sleep anywhere, easier to hold (a lot lighter too!), only food you have to worry about is nursing/formula, which is really easy (I nursed and it is really easy to find a bench anywhere).

You asked about stroller - we brought our Graco travel system, I used the carseat too in the parks. It was easier that way - she was little so she fit better in her carseat and when she was sleeping, we could just bring that into the restaurant, etc. Also on the busses if she was sleeping I didn't have to wake it. My mom has an ECV, so she held her the majority of the time. If we didn't have that, I would have brought a good sling to carry her in.

I would definately go before they start wanting to crawl everywhere - that would be the hardest age I would think (we didn't go down then, my DD has been at 2 mths, 23 mths and 28 months. Next trip is 1 mth before 3!)
