Question about special tickets

We are going home in Feb and are all excited about the new hard ticket party.

I do have a couple of questions. I saw on the announcement that we get a small discount as DVC members. Will I be able to click through on the member website to buy them on Monday when they go on sale (I know some people on the Theme Park boards said they already bought them through CRO), or does it take a while for that stuff to come up on the site?? The MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets were already on sale when we bought in to DVC, so I have no frame of reference.

Also, I am buying tickets for me, DH, my DS11, both DD's, my other DS will be 2 and won't need one. I also need to get one for Mom, since she is coming with us again. Now, does this work the same as an AP discount? Only immediate family in the same house? In other words, will I have to order my mom's separately at regular price, or can I get them all through the DVC site?? I just don't want to get down there and have them say "Hey!! She can't have the discount!" (It says you need DVC ID, I am assuming you pick the tickets up in WDW?) I would pay the difference with no argument if it wasn't allowed, but I would be mortified.

So, to save me buttloads of embarrassment, if someone knows, I would appreciate being enlightened.

It is the Pirate and Princess party.

I have ordered mine through CRO already and I asked them to be Will call. Meaning I will pick them up there. I do this because 1 - It saves me the $3 in shipping and 2 - It saves me from forgetting to pack them, which I have done!!

As for who all can have them. I do believe it is like MVMCP and MNSSHP and you can buy for your party even if they are not DVC members.

Are you talking about the new Disney's Pirate and Princess Party at the Magic Kingdom? It sounds like great fun.

Call MS and order through them - if these tickets are like those for MNSSHP and MVMCP, you will have to use the will call options for them anyway. That's because you will hve to show your blue membership card to get the DVC discount.

Believe that their is a limit to the number of tickets you can purchase with your membership. IIRC, that limit for MNSSHP and MVMCP was 6.

P.S. These tickets are not going to sell out in a few days. My advice is to call MS later in the day and if possible, call later in the week (rather than on Monday morning).

Okay, thanks. I am glad they are will call, since I too, would probably forget to pack them or spend 2 weeks worrying about forgetting to pack them!! LoL

If the limit is 6, we are okay....I would only need 5 over 10 tix and 1 child.

I tend to have a compulsion to have things done as far in advance as possible, we are waiting on a DING fare for September and it really is killing me to not have air booked already!

I'll wait a few days to call, they may show up on the website in the meantime, then I can just get them on there when I buy our AP's in a couple of weeks.

We will be there from 2/5 til 2/16, so there are 4 parties while we are down there, so I am not worried about a sell out. Even on the off chance the tickets started going like hotcakes, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have a problem finding tix for 1 of those days.

My older kids think it is the funniest thing that I am all excited about this party!! We booked 9/16 to 9/21 because that was the only time we could get off work, and we are missing MNSSHP this year, and I was bummed, but now I get to go to a party!!
