On our recent flight home, as we were standing in an extremely long line at Southwest, I looked outside and noticed that there was not a single person in line at curbside ck-in. Needless to say, we decided to go that way. I couldn't believe how fast it was! Thanks to these boards I knew it to tip him nicely...well worth it IMO.
My question is, they didn't weigh luggage outside, so what happens if you are overweight? We had weighed bags at the resort and had to rearrange a couple of items to be under the limit, but what would happen if we hadn't done that? Do they weigh the luggage once it's inside and then charge your cc for the extra?
I'm not trying to get around the weight limit, just curious how it would work.

They have scales and are probably pretty good at guessing when you are over. :) I'm pretty sure if you happen to be over by a little bit, they'd just load them up. If it was obvious you were taking bricks home with you :lmao: they would probably handle it differently.

Thanks. I was amazed how fast check-in at the curb was, we'll definitely be using it in the future
We actually weren't overweight, but friends we were traveling with had to do a bit of re-arranging so that they wouldn't be. :goodvibes

Yea, I dont know if some people dont know about curbside check in, dont want to have to tip a few bucks, or if it's more they need to reprint boarding passes or have something else that they need to actually see an agent about. If the line isnt long I just go thru the inside at MCO, but I've used the curbside there also.

So if you printed your boarding passes out at home and checked your luggage on line and paid for it with your credit card, can you still go and do curbside check in? What do you need to show them so they know it's been paid for? I don't want to pay NWA fees to check them at the airport.
