Question about SoG confirmation

I received the confirmation slips for our SoG reservation for next August. Everything seems in order - 2 rooms, one with one adult and one with two adults and two kids.

What seemed odd to me is that a) each room had its own reservation number and b) one room is $93/night and the other room is $95/night.

Has anyone had a similar situation? The extra $20 is no big deal, I just thought it strange that the two rooms would be different prices.

TIA!

Two confirmation numbers are not that strange, but is it a $2 difference in price or a $20 difference in price? Either way, that IS strange for the same room, there shouldn't be any difference in price as you don't have more than 2 adults (over age 18) in either room. That's probably worth a call to SOG to straighten out.

We've stayed there several times with my father's 100% service connected disability and my son's active duty. The second or third room are always more than the first. You can get one room according to your rank plus I believe 2 additional rooms at a slightly increased price.

Sorry for the confusion - it is $2/night, $20 across the 10 night stay.

That would make sense, except that its my room that is $95, and my friend's that is $93. Plus, according to the SoG site, the only time that additional rooms should be more is if the first room is booked at Category 1, then additional rooms are booked at Category 2. If the first room is booked at anything other than Category 1, all the rooms should be the same price.

The SoG site says that Category 2 rooms are $95, so I think they messed up on the reservation. I'll give them a call Monday and straighten it out.

Maybe the $2/night is for the cost over-run fund, hehe.

AirForceRocks,
The reason for the difference is that in one room, there is only 1 adult in the room, so it costs $2.00 less per night. Let me see if I can find a link for you....... Here it is--This is the fine print from the SOG web page:

"Please Note: All room rates are subject to change without notice. Above rates are based on two adults occupying a room. Add $15.00 per additional adult, 18 years or older. For single occupancy, subtract $2.00 from the above rates. Rates are available year round with the exception of Holiday Packages at Christmas and New Year’s. Maximum number of rooms per sponsor is three and occupancy per room is five . Military sponsors should not reserve additional rooms under their name for other eligible military/DoD sponsors. Reservations are not transferable. Sponsored guests must be accompanied by the Military/DoD sponsor at check-in and throughout the entire stay. Due to fire codes, cooking appliances and microwaves are not allowed in guest rooms. Pets are not permitted. Every effort is made to accommodate room location and special requests; however, requests (e.g. - lobby level, golf view, etc.) are not guaranteed. Cancellation notice must be received 30 days prior to arrival date to avoid a penalty of one night."

Here is the link to the rates page

Thanks!! I was going to call them this afternoon, but you have saved me the trouble! I should have read the fine print more closely.

Thanks again!
