We will be visiting family in So Cal (specifically San Clemente) the week of April 6th. We are considering spending one day at DisneyLand but the prices of the one-day ticket are very high. They offer discounts for So Cal residents but I haven't been able to find a lot of detail on the residency requirements. If one of our family members living in So Cal purchased the tickets for us, would we be able to use them or do they require proof of So Cal residence upon admission to the park for everyone, not just the ticket purchaser? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Unless your friends are in the military or teachers, there aren't really any other So Cal resident discounts. Right now they have the 2Fer ticket but that's the same price of a one day ticket ($69), where you go to Disneyland one day and within 30 days you can go to DCA for free. They can ask you for your ID though, so it's not fool-proof.
