Question about scanning or copying a photo

My sister loaned me a photo she took years ago, and there's no negative. I scanned the photo using my HP Photosmart scanner, and it came out OK, but too much green/yellow in the new photo.

I've tried to adjust the colors, brightness, etc, but I think I'm just wasting my time.

Do any of you know an alternative? I would not mind spending money to have it professionally copied, but I don't really know where to start. Any advice?

Try posting a version of it here (upload the image to photobucket and get a link to post here) and there are plenty of people that would be willing to try and help.

and for the best results scan it at the highest resolution possible.
