Question about resort security

As everyone else has said you should always be aware of your surroundings but as long as you stay on the paths you will be fine.
I've stayed at the parks without DH and DS until 1am before and there's always someone else around, walking to and from buses, on the buses and even in the resort. I've done this both at AS Movies and POFQ and felt equally safe at both.
I was more scared that I would run across a snake then the boogie man

I walked alone back to our room at POP after MK EMH last year. I didn't see another soul and it was Midnight, but I didn't feel strange or unsafe or the least bit unsettled.

I agree with PPs - stay aware of your surroundings much like you would do elsewhere. The probability of anything happening is close to nil.
