Question about renting pts v. transfering pts and availability

Hi there. My husband and I are thinking of renting a BCV or BWV studio (perhaps splitting the vacation between the two) April 28 - May 7. Would there still be any available to rent do you think?
We are not members, but would like to rent pts. My best friend is a member and I was wondering if the best idea would be to have the points transferd to her and then she could make the ressies. Or would just renting from someone I don't know be as safe?

It would probably be safer for you for the points to be transfered to your friend. Be sure there is availability first. A downside to your friend would be she could not transfer points out for the remainder of the use year.

I just did this for a friend of mine.... I found another member who transfered points into my account and then I booked the ressie for her.

It went very smoothly..... but I did a lot of research on the folks over on the rent/trade board.

Most didnt want to transfer the points.... , but like your friend, my friend wanted to be assured a real ressie was there.

My guess was it took 2 weeks to find just the right DIS member....
