Question about renting points/references

Hi everyone, we just had a quick question about whether or not there is a place to check for references when you would like to rent or trade points. This would be for the Seller or the Buyer. Just wasn't sure what you would do if someone asked for references. We have points to rent and got a reply but the person asked if we had references. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks very much!!

You can give anyone who knows you well as a character reference.

Or, if you're dealing with someone who's got an eBay track record, you can always look at their eBay feedback. I usually offer my eBay user name to those I'm dealing with so they can see I've had successful transactions on the web before.

You know... I could create an online database (like the ROFR one) and allow people to put in rental reference information. For instance:

They would enter the following information:
Renter DISboard name =
Member DISboard name =
Would you rent to/from this person again? = Yes/No
Comments? =

What do you think? I'd probably have to check with Doc to make sure I could link that website in my signature line if I did create it due to some of the DIS policies for posting about good/bad references in the forums.
