Question About Renting DVC Points

I went to make my reservation for May for VWL, and I am 3 points short. ARRR! I would really like to try this resort, but if I'm 3 points short, I really can't. I decided to try to rent them from someone else and thought all was a go. Unfortunately, he didn't know that he could only transfer once a year. So, I'm back to square one. With the once a year rule applying, does anyone know if it is going to be possible to rent just three, or am I just going to have to try for another resort?

Sorry, I said that wrong. I rented 4 points to a friend 2 years ago, which is ironic. Had I not done that I wouldn't have this issue. But, if people are looking to rent their points, I'm not sure I"m going to have a very good chance of renting since I only want 3.

Give it a shot Nicole -- you might find someone with just a few points left that will expire if they don't use them. Plus a lot of members don't have to worry about transferring points more than once a year because they only have one contract and use them all themselves. Good Luck!

Can Developer Points be transferred? I ask because we just made a reservation for March and I have 4 left which have to be used by October or they go to waste. We won't be going again this year because of our cruise so if I can transfer them somehow you can have them, better you use them then they disappear.

I called, and you can't transfer developer points. You can make a reservation for someone else with them, but not transfer them. I'm so frustrated

Wow! What a great community. It makes me feel good to be a part of something where there are so many gracious and giving people. I wish I had points to transfer - we've used all of our. However, we will be staying at VWL in May so if our dates align, maybe we could grab a snack at Roaring Forks.
