Question about rental car procedures with package

I'm going to Chicago this weekend on a United package, which includes an Avis car. I prepaid the package on my Amex...but do I still give my credit card info to Avis? (I guess I would have to, to decline the coverages?) How will the "rate" show up on what I'm then signing?
