I was asked to write a recommendation letter for someone in regards to a summer job. :goodvibes This person was on a team that I coached while she was a senior in high school last year.

In my letter, I think I have all the bases for her to get this job! She would be perfect for it!!! And...it would be just a great opportunity for her!!!

My question is - the application does not state that the letter needs to be sealed. Should I send this to the person who wanted this letter sealed or unsealed??? I just want to be proper. I actually sent a rough draft to the person who wanted the letter, just to make sure it meets her needs.

Maybe I should send her a sealed and an unsealed letter, and then let her decide???? Again - no issues with her seeing the final letter.

When I did a few scholarship recommendation letters last year I made duplicates for the student. So there was a sealed letter and a spare. I thought it might be helpful for her in the future.
