How soon before your flight can you do RAC at your resort? The reason I am asking is we have a 7:00 a.m. flight. Will they let me drop off my bags the night before? I am guessing that they won't and I will be taking them myself but thought I would ask. I know dropping them off in the morning is not an option.

The RAC desk closes at 1:00 PM, so you should probably count on carrying your bags with you back to the airport.

Thanks for the reply. I've never used them before so I wasn't sure of the details.

You're right with that part too. They open at 5:00 am, but you must be finished checking your bags at least 3 hours before your flight time.

Unfortunatly, you will have to carry your bags with you...theres not enough time before you will be picked up. If your flight leaves at 7, Disney will pick you up at 4am and the RAC does not open until 5.

Unfortunately for you the PPs are correct. The soonest you can check your bags with RAC is 12 hours before your flight and you must have the process completed (not just be in line) no later than three hours before your flight. This effectively eliminates guests with flights between 1:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. (someone with a flight between 8:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. MIGHT be able to squeak in) from being able to use RAC.

FWIW, this has NOTHING to do with the flight being on SWA. This is true for passengers flying on any airline that participates in RAC.

The 3 hour rule is computer enforced. I've read, but not confirmed, the 12 hour rule isn't computer enforced. Some posters claim to have been able to check luggage more then then 12 hours before their flight same day.

That means passengers on a late flight might be able to check their bags before going to a theme park first thing in the morning. You're refused. Put your bags in storage. Either come back later in the day or take your bags on the bus.
