Question about Poly stay

I am going on the 3 night land (Poly) and 4 night sea in October. I have heard rumur that they are now giving 7 day passes (not just length of stay for the 3 days) that can be used before or after your stay but within 14 days. Anyone know if this is true? If it is I would love to get there a couple of days ahead of time at value hotel (any suggestions?). Or do I need to book more days at Poly to take advantage of this 7 day pass?

First ime cruiser so not sure how all this works. Any suggestion for value would be great. Stayed at Carribean Beach just so-so.
