Question about point rental process (as the DVC owner renting to others)

I've been a DVC owner for several years but I won't make it to Disney this year and the banked points from last year will expire if not used. I've never rented them out to others before. I have made a couple of reservations this week from folks on my rental thread and I've collected all monies owed from one, the other will be paid shortly.

I have made the reservations using the guest names/addresses that were provided. I want to make sure my renters have a very smooth check-in process. Perhaps I'm just a bit paranoid, but my biggest fear is that these guests show up and for whatever reason are unable to check-in because the DVC member is not there. I know this is not the case since there are a LOT of rentals that occur, but is it really as easy as filling out the reservation in the guest names, I send them the confirmation of the reservation (they confirm name/address/date details), they show up and present a photo ID, and that's it? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something that could cause for a miserable vacation for my renters (and headaches from me as well).

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it really is that simple. While my guests and I usually travel as a group, there have been a few occasions where I've sent friends without me. I've never actually rented my points for money, but have bartered with my Dentist. :yay:

I have had several family and friends go on my points, as well as rented a few times, and no issue at all.

We are long time DVC members who have gifted points to family and friends and also rented out thousands of points. No issues what so ever when they went to check in. In the past few months, we have rented 2 confirmed reservations from other dvc members. We were treated exactly the same as when we travel on our points!

I don’t worry about renters being able to checkin when I rent out points. I worry about them damaging the villas or somehow checking out without paying and the charges coming back to me! I also worry about renters asking for an upgrade and the front desk using my points to do it!

I've rented out a few times, keep in mind it's a two-way trust. They trust you won't cancel the reservation and you trust they won't leave an unpaid bill or trashed room for which you are ultimately responsible. A contract can be tough to enforce as I understand.
