Question about picking up AP

We are arriving the evening of Jan 10th and staying at the RPR. We will likely not be checking in until 9:00 or 9:30 p.m. I plan to purchase an AP but am wondering where/when I will be able to pick it up (I understand that I need my picture taken for it). We really want to hit the ground running first thing the following morning and take full advantange of EE.

Will it be possible to get the AP sorted out before the park opens, or will we be wasting valuable time by having to take care of getting the AP done in the morning?

The remainder of the family will be purchasing the 2+1 day tickets - I plan to buy these online and then print them. I don't think I need to do anything else, but if that's not the case, please let me know :)

Thanks in advance!

Pictures are no longer taken for APs...all passes look like regular park tickets. You'll need to have your picture taken for the unlimited Express pass but not an AP. It's been quite a while since I had to deal with an AP so I'm not sure if the procedure has changed. It used to be the AP had to be handled by Guest Services but again...I'm not sure if that's still the case. I don't know if you can just print out the AP at the Will Call kiosk or not. I'm thinking you're still going to have to go to Guest Services the first time to get it.

If it is Florida resident AP, you will need to go to Guest services. If it is an AP for a non-resident, you can print it at the kiosk.

September 2011 I ordered my AP online, and then just printed it out at the very obvious kiosks outside IOA, before early entry. It was incredibly simple and fast.

I believe that I have read that there are similar kiosks at the resorts, but I've never looked around for one of them or noticed them. It was simple enough to check in without the AP (they'll tell you when they need you to come back with it if they need you to do that) and just pick it up before entering the park!

Very easy to buy online, print out and use the kiosks outside the parks. I had no trouble using one of the kiosks outside of IOA very early in the morning before I entered the park for early entry.

Used the print out to show I had bought the AP (non FLA resident) at check in to confirm my AP rate at Royal Pacific the night before I activated my AP. Was never asked again to see my AP, and I did get charged the AP rate.

Have fun, USO is a great place, and we really like staying onsite. Plus the AP discount on food and in stores is nice too.

Oh, perfect, thanks!

(I was expecting more of a credit card type material, like we have for Legoland.)

They stopped those about 5-6 years ago maybe longer.

If you are a non resident just print them at the hotel kiosk. It's right beside where you print your express passes.

We're FL residents. So we can't print ours at the hotel?

And how does it work to print them? If I purchase them online, will I sign in or enter a code or something?

Hi Nancy...I answered your other thread. Florida residents must pick up their APs at Guest Services at the parks since you will need to show proof of residency. And as Macraven said...the APs will look like regular park tickets. They stopped the credit card type passes back in 2005 or 2006...I can't remember. I still have my old AP from 2005 and I have the credit card type pass with my picture on it.
