Is there anywhere online that shows a good example of the photo needed for the check-in process?

Thank you!

I am not sure about any examples. Have a picture taken of you from the top of your shoulders up. Just a heads shot with nothing in the background. This has always worked for me. If they don't like it at the port they will take another photo of you there.

I cropped my son's gf out of their prom photo to use for his cruise picture, my daughter had a good selfie. Shoulders up, plain(ish) background (prom photo had some trees in the background) and not your passport photo is all they really need. Don't worry if you get "pending review" when you submit it. Mine have always taken a few weeks to get approved.

I would agree with everyone else. Take a photo, well lit with no shadows on a plain light colored background. Have your shoulders covered. Frame so the top of your shoulders show to just above your head. You may need to reduce the image quality. I want to say I had trouble once with a very high resolution image not being able to be used. Nothing can be on your head accept prescription glasses if you wear them, but no Sunglasses.

ALSO, you can't use the same photo that is on your passport. So if you have a copy of that photo, use it as an example but do not upload it for this.

Hope this helps,

Can you wear your glasses? You can NOT on your passport photo.

Yes, you can for the DCL pic. This does not have to be as "official" as the passport photo. Just basically a head shot that they will be able to recognize you from, with a plain background.

With that said the system can be fickle. I used 1 picture for a few cruises with no issues and then it was rejected for one. :confused3 If one gets rejected just try again.
