Question about parades and rope-offs

Hi- I am nervous about getting stuck at Splash Mountain during the parade. Does anyone know how early before a parade they start roping everything off?

Also, does anyone know about how long the MVMCP parade is? That is, if we were to get stuck at Splash during the parade, how long would it take before we could cross over and go to Adventureland?

You can always take the wooden bridge to the left side along Tom Sawyer island to get away from the Splash Mountain area. And throughout the parade, periodically the CM's have an entrance/exit set up that they open up every few minutes to let guests pass through.

But for the roping off, they don't fully rope it off and stop people from crossing until a couple minutes before the parade gets to that area

You technically would not be stuck as you could navigate away from Splash using the Boardwalk. Adventureland though is about the only place you couldn't reach unless you went around the long way and beat the parade or waited until it cleared the Frontierland starting area. I's estimate about 25 minutes for any parade to clear the area.
