When having dinner at 'Ohana, are the "starters" refilled? I understand the the meat skewers are all you can eat.

Yes, the starters are refilled. :D

As Kaycee said, yes, the starters are definitely refilled.
On our recent trip there I only had 4 pieces of actual meat off the skewers(3 beef & 1 turkey), but I was more than stuffed on the salad, rice & wings. We had those refilled quite a few times. ;)

Absolutely, we must have asked for ten orders of the wontons!

YEP!

Yum, I'm craving it all now for dinner! LOL

You can also get seconds on pineapple at the end ;) DH ate two batches.

Oh man!!!!!!! now I want those wontons and chicken wings! Who cares about the meats...bring on those starters!

<-----------starting to get scary pregnancy cravings.... WATCH OUT! May have to zip out to WDW just to eat at 'Ohana's! LOL!

what kind of wontons (soft like in soup or crunchy/fried)? also, do they serve dumplings as well?

They are crunchy and have a shrimp and veggie filling, but it's definitely not too shrimpy. It's great dipped in the peanut sauce.

No, no dumplings are served. When we were there is was green salad with honeylime dressing, stir fried veggies, fried rice, wontons, honey coriander chicken wings and Hawaiian bread for the starters and turkey, pork, steak and prawns for the meats.

thanks for a quick reply... unless they also have a child's menu (heading over to allearsnet right now) we won't be going there! :(

They have no official kids menu, but you can get a kids meal. Once we had to ask for the options and once they offered them to us. They actually get the meals from the Kona Cafe. Options inclue mac & cheese, grilled cheese, hot dog, chicken fingers, etc...

thanks camcolt... those kids meals would work... i will be sure to add in my "special kids' request" when i make my ps :)

Oh I dont think its necessary to mention it then. You can just ask your waiter, if he doesnt mention it to you first. :D
