Hi! I just want to thank all of you for your information about this camera. It just came in the mail yesterday and I can't wait to use it in Disney! Has anyone used this camera for firework and spectromagic shots in Disney? I was just curious if you used the auto mode for these pictures? I am an amatuer and want to make it as easy as possible on myself! Could someone post a photo they took? I would love to see some examples. Thanks! :sunny:

Thanks for your reply Lynn. I wasn't able to access your Disney photos in the first link, but the fireworks shots were great! I'll have to play around with the fireworks mode this 4th of July to get some practice for Wishes. :thumbsup2

FOR FIREWORKS:

We need a sticky for this.

1. Always use a tripod
2. Always use either remote shutter release or shutter delay so your finger press doesn't shake tha camera
3. Never use flash
4. The easiest way is to use fireworks mode
5. If you don't have that use Landscape mode with flash turned off
6. If you want to go the manual route, I like ISO100, 2 sec shutter, f/10

FOR SPECTROMAGIC:

1. Choose the highest ISO, turn off flash.

Thanks for your help Kelly. I'm sorry about asking the question again. I'm new to the boards and didn't realize how many people have been asking for help on this subject. I'm just really happy that there is a photography thread so I could ask for help. :)

That's okay, ask away, I just wish there are stickies so the information is available to all in a much easier manner.

I hope I didn't contribute to you feeling bad about asking the question about fireworks. If I did, I apologize. This question gets asked several times a week and noone has ever expressed having a problem answering it, or any other question on this board. Having a "Sticky" on fireworks would help people get the help they are looking for a bit easier.

Thanks to all of you for your information. I'm sorry if I got a little sensitive before! I believe this should be a sticky too. When I did a search, I noticed how many people are asking the same question I did! I must say that I am really impressed with the knowledge of the people on this board. You are the reason why I bought this camera and I'm so happy with my purchase! :thumbsup2

Lynn, I just looked at your Disney pictures. They were awesome! I'm know I'm going to have a lot of fun with this camera. :teeth:
