Question about new security screening

I just had another thought about the new changes, And maybe it will not be affected because you have Plaids with you, but what about the Highway Dine in the Sky folks? They going to have to go through security/bag check every time they get on the monorail over the course of the evening?

that would be annoying.

The remote screening makes sense to me. It seems to keep with the idea of making the Ticket and Transportation Center the place where you leave your world behind. I believe that was the original intent. It also makes sense from a security standpoint as long as the space past the screening point remains isolated. It is still not clear to me if one must go through additional screening at the park. What about guests arriving by resort launch? Are they screened prior to boarding at the resorts? I also think that the resort monorail loop is the weak link here as I always do some resort hopping and wouldn't want to go through screening each time I travel from resort to resort.

Yes, those arriving via boat and those arriving via bus are screened closer to MK. Those who have been screened at TTC will not need to go through additional screening at MK.
I look at it as moving screening to multiple points vs. 1 point but at no time does anyone have to go through screening more than once, unless they leave the area inside screening, as in, screen at CR, go to GF, go inside GF (which is outside the screened area) and then go back to monorail to go to MK. That guest will be screened again before getting on monorail. But a guest who gets on at CR and never gets off till MK is not screened again.

1. Unlikely. I figure that they'd be screened at the MK gates, as before.

2. That is the point of the original post in this thread.
Some guests will be inconvenienced who don't have MK as their destination, but will be screened for that, just the same.
