question about new rules with liquids

I tried to download the new TSA rules, and something was wrong with the file.

I flew last June, but things have changed since the thing with London. I asked Disney Friday night, and they said liquids in our carry-ons??? (shampoo, make-up etc)

I got a great deal to fly at last minute!!! Going for my BDAY (122 and some change, could not pass that down!!)

So , can anyone help me with the latest?? TIA!!

There are many threads already on this subject and the TSA site is very clear about what is and is not allowed. No need to download anything, just check out the TSA web page:

If anyone at Disney told you it was okay to carry items such as shampoo in a carry-on, they were dead wrong. Perhaps you misheard?

Just an FYI.

Do not depend upon your TA, your airline, Disney or the DIS for this info. Always go right to the TSA website.

Now, that doesn't always work and there are business travelers who print out the TSA listings just in case you get an agent who is either making up his/her own rules or just plain doesn't know!

Just flew home from Philadelphia and 2 women ahead of us delayed the security line because they had lip gloss in their pocketbooks/carry-ons, which was confiscated. DS10 had his school backpack with him and I'd forgotten completely that he had a bottle of Elmer's glue in it! They didn't notice it on the way out, I guess, but they saw it on the return flight, asked him about it (!) and took it. I certainly wouldn't think of packing shampoo!
