we just got booed for the first time...how fun! I figured we wouldn't until our kids were in grade school (our eldest is 4). I think I was even more tickled than the kids were. lol.

does anybody have a copy of the note online? I can't get mine to scan and some friends from an online parents group want to do it in their neighborhood. I tried doing a search on yahoo, but this thread was actually the closest thing that came up.

I'm "not yet allowed" to post attachments, or else I'd send it to you in word file.

Could you just email them a word version of the poem? It only takes a couple of minutes to copy. Heck, you could even just type it into your online threads and they could copy it from there.

Good luck - we loved the whole Boo process these past couple of years.

I don't know how to post an attachment otherwise I would.
do a search on the DIs boards and you will find the poem.
I saw it on both the Budget and Community boards.
I boo'd my neighbor and they didn't pass it on. I spent $5 for a skeleton candle holder, some votives, some candy and some paper skeleton decorations and they didn't even pass it on. They did have the nerve to put the docorations up on their front door though. Pretty nervy.
I guess I will try again next year. But I am still angry about this year's boo. Peggie

The same thing happened to us last year. We booed two families in our neighborhood and both did n othing. Very disappointing. I didn't even do it this year.

Hope this is what you were referring to. :thumbsup2

Well, I guess I probably disappointed my neighbor this year. My kids were booed with a goody bag of stuff (that we don't need!) and a poem about passing it on to 2 others. Well, I personally have a strict "no participation" rule for anything resembling a chain letter, and that's what I saw this as. So, please realize that some others just don't enjoy this kind of thing. :confused3 I hope my neighbor didn't take it personal, but I just don't have the time or interest in stuff like this. If only there was some way to find out if someone is interested before passing something like this on to them. Then feelings wouldn't be tread upon from either direction. (From my perspective, I feel imposed upon, and do feel slightly bad about not continuing it, but as I said, I feel strongly about not continuing on things like this.)
