Hello everyone, not sure if I am in the right place to ask this question but here it goes:

We are planning on going to Nassau and go on historic excursions, has anyone ever done the queen's staircase? If so is it hard to do and do you recommend seeing anything specific while there? TIA

Hi, you are not in the right place, sorry.
You need to post this on the main discussion forum and you will get lots of responses.

If you are referring to the 2 hour historical tour with the Queens staircase, we did it about 3 years ago and really enjoyed it.
our guide was excellant and very informative.

He parked near the bottom of the staurcase so we could all ge tout for photos and then said we could hike them and meet him by the fort at the top, or he would drive anyone ot the fort who didnt want to do the stairs.

We did do the stairs and just took our time. I am just a middle aged lady and not in any great shape, but I had No problems doing it. It is easy to stop and rest a bit if you want. I would advise ALWAYS!!! take a bottle of water with you on the island. It is warm even in the winter months.

Both the forts were interesting. The one by the staircase was mostlu walls and cannons, pretty well worn , but still well worth seeing. You guid eyourself through and read the plaques there.

Also a few vendors have tables set up for souvenirs, very good prices.
The 2nd fort was a guided tour. It was quite large compared to the first one and very well maintained. Guides are very friendly and knowledgible.

In our opinion this tour was worth every cent and we even tipped the guide. We dont often do that because most are not that good, but ours was very good!!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. we have been many times to Nassau.
