Question about my deed...

I was just reading over my deed to AKV last night and I noticed it said
Unit 15. It did not specify Kiddani or Jambo house. Anyone have any information on what Unit 15 means?

I could be wrong but from what I understand whether you bought kidani or jambo is irrelevant. They are only using that to determine who gets current points who pays MF's right away, etc... That's why it is not specified on your deed it makes no difference where you technically own. There is a statement on one of the papers we received I can remember which one exactly right now but it states that "owners should not count on Jambo house or it's amenities pools, restaurants, and savannahs continuing to be made available to DVC owners" I asked my guide about this and he said that he believed that once kidani was completed that jambo would return to simply the AKL and all DVC reservations would be for Kidani. As far as the unit goes they can only sell a specific number of rooms per unit so they classify different sections as units again this makes no difference to you or where you will be placed when you make a ressie it is only for legal purposes.

Unit 15 is in Jambo House.

There is a single AKV and it really won't matter (when Kidani is completed) where your unit is located.

I can't see how AKL facilities can be denied to DVC or how they will return to being AKL only once Kidani opens as the top floor is now owned by DVD/DVC and all our deeds show that. Unit 15 is in Jambo House so you are already able to use your points.

BTW just checked my documents and nothing about facilities at Jambo not being available int he future.

This is not true. The AKV units inside Jambo House will be there until at least Jan 2057.

The legal disclaimer simply means you shouldn't buy assuming that the ameneties of the Animal Kingdom Lodge (such as Jiko, for example) will always be there.

I did read about there not being a guarentee of animals always being on the savannas.

Well that's just what I read into it and what was implied by my guide.

Here is an exact quote (I finally found the paper)

"Purchasers should not rely on the continued existence of, and access to, existing Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Amenities, such as savannas, restaurants, and recreational facilities that are NOT PART OF MEMBERSHIP".

I simply felt that this implied that the original AKL is not part of DVC.
