In the last 4 years, yes, the parties started the Sunday after Thanksgiving but in 2000 and 2001, when Thanksgiving fell earlier in the month, no, it didn't start the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
In 2000, the first party was Thurs, Nov 30 and in 2001 it was also Thurs, Nov 29. Both years, Thanksgiving fell earlier in the month then usual.
Thanks! We are planning for December mostly, but since so much happens here during that month, we thought best start our Christmas trip as early as possible. We will just make sure we get to go to a party no matter what .

If this is what the trend is like this year it may start on Thursday Novemebe 30th, since Thanksgiving is on Nov 23. Thanks for the info, was planning my trip and didn't even think about that. Have to keep a closer watch.
ARGHHHH that's frustrating! I need (ok want) to plan this trip....but going to the Christmas party is part of the trip..so until they release the dates I can't do squat!
Last year, the 'tentative' dates were known by mid-April and the tickets went on sale April 30. There will definitely be a party or two the week after Thanksgiving, just not definitely that Sunday or even Tues but you never know. Each year they seem to add more parties so there is still a chance they might start the parties early.
How fast do the tickets sell out? I doubt we will know for sure by April if we are going to be able to go. Aww if fact I bet we won't be able to go until Christmas 2007, but a girl came dream right.. ?
