Question about multiple contracts . . .

I am new to DVC and have what may be a silly question, but here goes ... I notice that some people have multiple contracts with DVC. I understand that this allows you to book 11 months out on each of those contracts if they are for different resorts. However, if you have say 300 points at SSR and 50 points at BWV then can you use some of the 300 points from SSR to book at BWV? If not, then why have a small add-on contract? Again, I'm new at this and just wondering - thanks! :earsgirl:

At 11 months, only the points owned at a DVC resort may be used for a reservation. At 7 months all points could be used. All points may be combined to be used 11 months ahead for non-DVC options (like cruise, WDW resorts, DL resorts, etc)

Many have small contracts to combine 2 or 3 years worth of points for a reservation thru banking/borrowing or else they always plan to reserve once within 7 months.

Enjoy!

Having multiple contracts that are linked is much different than having totally separate and unrelated contracts. The answers and usage are much different in many ares.
