If you were staying at an off site hotel and you had a reservation at a resort restaurant, could you still take the monorail to Magic Kingdom from the hotel or would you have to be a staying there to do that? I was thinking about making reservations at the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast on our Magic Kingdom morning and we'll be staying off Disney property. Has anyone ever done that? Thanks! :)

Yes, you can ride it. We stayed off property and rode the monorail all the time.

Everyone can ride the monorail, doesn't matter where they're staying.

You can ride the monorail but wouldn't be allowed to leave your car there all day. There is only a very small parking lot and it is usually very full. You could valet, however, and park there longer. Without valet, you are only supposed to park for 3 hours.

If you are paying to park anyway, which you will be being an offsite guest, I would just pay to valet park at the GF. Otherwise, yes, the previous poster is correct. Not to mention that the self parking at GF is probably some of the worst self parking onsite!!! Pay to valet...then forget about it for the day.
