heyy i'm going to disney soon and i was wondering about the new ride mission space? what is it like? is it like a tour thing of like a rocket ship or something. or is it a ride? in my party i have two 7 year olds one 9 year old. i also have a thirteen year old that doesn't like really big thrill rides. would they like this ride? thanx :worship: :worship: :space: :thewave:

Its a simulation ride- DS (5 at the time) loved it. I on the other hand plan to skip it this year.

You are put in a small closed-in area (4 people) and are each given "responsibilites' ie pilot, commander (I forget the other two). It was pretty cool -but I just dont handle simulation rides well-give me RNR anyday.

MS is a space flight simulator... a very realistic one. You experience heavy g-forces at "lift off" by the use of a highly complex centrifuge. You're in a "pod" with 3 other people. It's a fantastic ride, but may not be for people who don't like confined spaces or "spin" rides (though many people that can't handle traditional "spin" rides, like the Tea Cups, do just fine on this one... and vice versa).

Just to add, this is the only ride I have ever been on that has a barf bag right next to each seat! I loved it!
