Question about making a ressie with holding points

We had to cancel our Jan reservation for OKW due to most of the family coming down w/Covid. Luckily we were vaccinated so very mild symptoms but we still felt we should cancel. My question concerns our holding points. When making a new reservation does the entire time need to be within the 60s days or can the reservation start at 60 days?

You should call MS about the cancellation. I made a reservation for last week of Jan at SSR for a relative from Canada. Relative had your issue -- two family members tested positive for Covid the day before the trip (both later had mild symptoms but are now fine, both had been vaccinated). Called MS and asked if it would cancel and not put points in holding. MS agreed to do so.

To add to drusba's post above, someone else posted yesterday that banked points they had in holding had been taken out of holding when they called MS to do something else. The CM offered to do it, they didn't ask. SO you should probably call MS and ask whether your points might be taken out of holding - there seems to be some pixie dust floating around holding points lately!
