Wow it has been a long time since I have been on here. Since our plans fell through to go to WDW Sep of this year I stopped looking on here so I wouldn't get too depressed. On to my question. By september of next year(when we hope to go to WDW) we will have 4 children and of course us two adults. Does anyone know of a inexpensive place that has enough room for all of us. THe kids are 10,7,3 and going to be a 3 month old if my plans go as scheduled. Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest a timeshare...lots of room and a kitchen too

Going during the "off season" is one of the best ways to save money on hotels. So you are off to a good start.

We have stayed at the HIFS. The kid suites are great. Your kids would have their own little room... 2 on the bunk beds and one on the fold out bed...and the baby in your room or in the living room. For that matter you could take your favoirte babysitter to help out and let her sleep on the fold out couch. Maybe not the cheapest option, but lots of room.

The Downtown Disney Marriott usually runs a special in September. We stayed lasted year for $20.02 and we are going this Sept for $20.03 a night. IF they offer it next year it you could get 2 rooms at that price ($20.04).

Check out the prices of rental homes too.

Thankyou both for your replys. Did I see that right 20.04 per night. My goodness. Where is that hotel located? We did stay at the kidsuites right outside disney in 2000. I was thinking of that again and was surfing the net this afternoon for prices. A friend has offered for us to use his time share at the Vistana resort. He wants $1000 Canadian a week for it. Has anyone been to that place?

I would also suggest trying SkyAuction for a ready set go auction. We got a week at Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee for $270 including taxes for a 2 bedroom. Haven't been yet but from all the posts on this board it sounds like a great place at a great deal. Hope this helps.

Disnee Dad Says.................................The $20.03 rate is real, It is for the Courtyard by Marriott. Located at Hotel Circle, closest non Disney hotels to WDW.
We stayed there in 2001, for what you get for $20, this place is fantastic! I mean it's not Westin or Sheratin special, but you get nice clean rooms that are a decent size, ice on every other floor, indoor corridors so it will be quiet, nice buffet breakfast (cost extra) at a fair price. Nice pool area.
Even has a shuttle to the parks, but it isn't that good, leaves every 30 minutes and stops at several other hotels.
The rates will be higher on weekends.
If possible catch as many days as you can at this rate, then maybe finish on site. Don't worry, this place is a solid three stars.

Other than comps, this is the best value I have ever run into.

Disnee Dad Says..................................BTW, time shares can be a great way to go. Last trip we did a presentation at Calypso Cay, for 90 minutes. Got 5 days of a 2 bed 2 bath condo for $49.00 a night. Actually got a 3 bed as they ran out of 2 beds! Had to drive 10 minutes to get to the parks, but we have been three times before so every minute wasn't as important.
We are only three, so the place was huge! Had a pool, gym and other things that you might find at a condo.
I wouldn't do it on a first or second trip, but for muitiple returnees, go for it. I wanted to yell at my DD, but couldn't find her, DW wanted to yell at me, but couldn't find me!

Put together a Courtyard by Marriott and Calypso Cay, and you have the best deal ever on accomodations.

And it doesn't have to be CC, there are many others that offer a similar deal.

I would like to suggest something that I don't often see recomended on these boards.... a rental home. We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids and we would not do it any other way. Forget paying for 2 hotel rooms and even the suites would get too cramped and cluttered after a few days. If you go online and search phrases like: "Orlando vacation rentals" or "Disney area pool homes" you get so many websites. There are literally thousands and thousands of homes to chose from. Most are only a few years old and have screened in pools in the back. The prices vary so to get a great rate look around a while and e-mail the owners to get a quote. Often the owner's quote is lower than the rate shown on the webpage.
For our Sept '03 trip we got a 4 bedrm, 2 bath poolhome w/ liv. rm. & fam. rm., kitchen, dining and laundry rms. It's only 12 miles from WDW and we're paying only $525/week-tax incl.!!!!
As is often mentioned, having the full kitchen saves by eating breakfast at home and all around makes it easier w/ kids.

We highly recommend this for larger than average families like ours!

I agree with the rental home...we have one for our Deceber trip and we have it for 7 night 4 bed 2 bath private heated pool 3 miles from WDW and it is only $670 with taxes and everything included!

this place has a HUGE selection of sizes and distances!

My friends also stayed in a rental home with it's own pool. My in-laws came for 2 wks from England and had an awesome home 3 bdr, 2 baths, full kitch & pool......very clean, new and awesome! I couldn't believe it was $475.00 a wk. (It was in Clearwater though not near Disney) I always thought a "rental" would be not up to par.
