Question about ING account

I know a lot of people here have the ING accounts so thought this would be the perfect place to ask:
I've always just banked at a local bank but am considering swapping over to an Internet bank. How do you make deposits? Do you have to mail in, or can I deposit at ATMs, or can I take a picture of the checks with the IPhone??? Currently I just have auto deposit for paychecks, but 3 or 4 times a month I'm given checks for rental income, rebate checks, commissions, etc....

I can't answer all your questions (don't know about the i phone, since we don't have one) but here's the little I know -- you generally attach your ING account to your regular bank account, and deposit from one to the other. YOu can also get an ING checkinga account, which will come with a debit card, so you can make deposits and withdrawals that way (I think ours is able to be used at Chase ATMs for no extra charge). We have an ING savings account, DH has an ING checking (I guess they offered it to him once over the phone, so he took it), our mortgage is through ING, and DS19 has a savings account for his college tuition payments. We have been very happy with this -- but note that it does take a couple of days for payment to be posted to your account when you transfer it to the ING from another bank account, and to be posted to your regular account when you transfer from ING.

I keep a free checking account at a brick and mortar bank and I just transfer the money over from there.

I have several savings accounts and the Orange checking so I can access the ING money easily as well.
