Question about housekeeping supplies

We will be renting points and staying two weeks at BWV. I understand the housekeeping schedule, but what about things like shampoo and soap. Do they provide enough to last through till the next housekeeping? Can you request more? If so, is there a charge? There will be six of us and certainly we are going to be using alot of toiletries.

There is supposed to be a charge for extra toiletries according to the DVC website:

With Pay As You Play service, you'll be provided with the following amenities free of charge at the start of your stay. After that, you may purchase more for the following fees:


Toiletries Package, $3.00 - 1 facial soap, 1 body soap, 1 shampoo
Coffee Package, $3.00 - 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers
Towel Package, $6.00 - 4 bath towels, 4 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
Laundry Detergent (only in One-, Two-, and Three-bedroom Vacation Homes), $1.00 - 1 box


Housekeeping Daily Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $25.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $30.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $40.00 per day requested
Grand Villa - $60.00 per day requested
Trash & Towel - $10.00 per day requested.

Yes, it is a full housekeeping service. However, they normally do not replentish dishwasher detergent as the boxes will last through several loads. They are replaced "as needed."

FWIW, my advice is to bring your own shampoo & conditioner and lotion. Those provided aren't all that great.

You can get extra and usually at no charge. Technically they are supposed to charge other than they will replenish on Trash and Towel and housekeeping days. They will replenish TP, paper towels, trash bags and all dish detergents without charge if asked. Some have reported getting extra paper plates and similar products for the studios just by asking without extra charges.

I agree. Although, two weekends ago was our first trip to BWV and we loved the products they had there. Not the normal cheap mickey shampoo. Great shampoo, conditioner (have never had conditioner before in our room), and wonderful lotion.

Someone said they changed companies VERY recently, like in late Dec or Jan and now had separate conditioner. Too bad we missed it mid Dec but I'm glad to have confirmation that this has happened. The question now is how long will it last having seen the products go down hill the last 8-10 years.
